Information & Cyber Security Poster Contest

Start Jul 01 until Aug 06, you can submit posters to be judged by the masters in the field. After the deadline, the judges will select the three winning posters. Apart from the winning posters, selected posters will be printed and displayed during the Cyber Safe 2009 National Seminar and Campaign from 06 to 08 Aug 2009.

And when you are all done with your designed poster(s), you can submit them to: posters@informationsecurityday.com

Technical

Research and technical papers are invited from students on topic "Cyber Security in the Present Scenario" (1000 words). After the deadline, the judges will select the winning submission(s). The selected entry/entries will be given a chance to present the paper on the final day of Cyber Safe 2009 National Seminar and Campaign on 08 Aug 2009 at Town Hall, Ernakulam.

Legal

Papers are invited from legal students on topic "Comparative Study of IT Act 2000 with the IT Amendment Act 2008" (800 words). After the deadline, the judges will select the winning submission(s). The selected entry / entries will be given a chance to present the paper on the final day of Cyber Safe 2009 National Seminar and Campaign on 08 Aug 2009 at Town Hall, Ernakulam.

Note: Prizes will be distributed to the winning entries. Participation certificates will be issues to all contesting participants.

Live Hacking Competition - CTF

If you are the kind of person that would rather spend the monsoon days glued to the computer designing cool designs and themes, we got something for you.

Capture The Flag is a ‘live hacking’ competition. There are 2 types of CTF’s - an attack only model in which teams or individuals are tasked with breaking into a single or multiple targets in order to retrieve files or flags. There is also the attack-and-defense model which is a team based competition in which participants are tasked with not only attacking into opponents systems to retrieve flags but will also need to defend their own machine as well.

Cyber Safe will be conducting an attack only model CTF. Registration will be open from 0900 hrs. For advance booking, you can send email to ctf@informationsecurityday.com providing your complete details.

Caption Contests

A caption contest is also arraged on the last day of seminar at Town Hall, Cochin, where participants can submit captions for displayed images / cartoons / posters. Selected submissions will be awarded prizes.
