Information Security Day works in partnership with various security-related organizations. The Activities of Information Security Day are categorized into:
Corporate / Business Layer (Project BSec)“Data is information and Information is everything in this new digital era”, how many times do we realize this on a daily basis? Pilferage happens on a daily basis from all levels right from the higher echelons to the basic level. Can we ensure that project Business Security is enforced? The answer is yes! And it has to be or else we are looking at huge losses and zero confidentiality.
Government Layer (Project Acropolis)Public information pertaining to the country, individuals and the governments; personal information, financial, confidential policy information etc have to be guarded and kept sacred. As our project suggests, Acropolis or “Sacred Templars”, we will have to make sure that they are safeguarded just like any other sacred shrine. This initiative has to be implemented as this project if not enforced shall lead to lots of chaos and confusion and may eventually also lead to a slide in the government.
University / College (Project Theseus)Effective Information Security can only be achieved through user centered approaches. The aim of Project Theseus is to create and promote information security awareness across the universities and colleges worldwide.
Schools (Project School Bus)Children of today are very much prone to being affected by the information that they view or hear and they are influenced by all kinds of media. A check on the kind of information accessed by the children at schools and homes would make them socially aware and also would give them just the information they want. “Fun” can be re- defined by just getting them the right information at the right time.
Home Users / End-user Level (Project SafeNet)“How many times do I block my pop-ups?”. “How secure is my password manager?”. We have thought about this but have we ever pondered on the solution. A safe haven and a safe web space can be ensured only through a dedicated initiative of information security awareness and enforcement.
Having all the strata in our mind, we have a common initiative “Information Security Day” (ISD). Let’s make it a reality!
